Himalaya Infinity Rugs are hand-knotted in China from 100% fine premium wool. Hand-knotting is an intricate and painstaking process that dates back at least three thousand years. First, a single thread is woven through the warp, or base of the rug to create a strong foundation. Then, knots are carefully tied to the warp thread. A knife or hook is used to cut the knot, which is then hand-tied. Finally, the knots are secured and tightened with a comb-like tool. The result is a durable and beautiful product with rich historical roots.
